General Practice
Assessing quality in general practice is now a firm part of ensuring
standards.
Using CFEP to administer surveys will get you accurate feedback, properly
gathered and analysed. You can use the information we provide constructively
to achieve positive results.
- We offer feedback reports for individual clinicians and for practices as
a whole.
- We have also carried out extensive work for the General Medical Council
to gather patient and colleague feedback.
- We recently developed a survey for the Health Foundations Advanced
Development Programme which provides feedback on how patients with a
long-term condition feel about their care (the Patient Partnership in Care
questionnaire).
Our General Practice surveys can be used by doctors, nurses and all other
clinical staff.
A recent report by the BMA, (Developing General Practice: Listening to Patients), suggests on pg 6 "...practices can get more useful information by undertaking surveys in house, getting more patients' views and enabling active commentary rather that just box ticking"
We will look after the whole survey process for you and provide you with
all the material that you need to run a patient survey from the practice. If
other survey methods are needed such as a postal questionnaire to patients
or a questionnaire sent or emailed to colleagues, we have well-established
methods for getting the job done.
As signposted in the “Improving GP access and responsiveness”, pg 20, “…PCTs and practices need to have a deeper understanding of issues facing different groups of patients and provide valuable information to act upon”. CFEP UK Surveys can help survey your patients to access their expectation and satisfaction.
CFEP can administer either bespoke local surveys, designed to your specification, or one of our “off the peg” validated surveys – see below and download links for more information.
The results that we send to you include all written comments and contain
tables and graphs which allow you to see and compare strengths and
weaknesses with other practices and clinicians. Results are sent in strict
confidence and always contain explanatory documents to help you make the
most of your results.
Individual clinician results can help GPs prepare
for and undertake appraisal. CFEP also provides a Colleague Feedback
Evaluation Tool (CFET), which can be used with your individual IPQ results
to make your appraisal truly 360 degrees.
Working with providers of 8-8 services, we have developed a questionnaire which we believe will provide the data you need to demonstrate that you meet the required standard of provision for this service to your PCT clients. The questionnaire is specifically aimed at this sector of the healthcare provision market.
Health quality accounts are to be compulsory for all healthcare providers working for or on behalf of the NHS.
How can your organisation demonstrate quality?
CFEP can help with our range of validated patient surveys designed to give robust feedback with clearly designed reports on how your patients perceive the service you provide.

Our specialist experience in the healthcare sector puts us in an enviable position in the specialist market of bespoke surveys. We work with you to design surveys and questionnaires to capture information that healthcare professionals and organisations would find valuable.
By listening to your requirements, we can provide survey questionnaires tailored to suit your needs, highlighting your strengths and giving insight into areas important to you. We can assist you in working toward positive change and adaptation to meet ever increasingly high standards.
Health staff and clinicians tell us how much our workshops have helped
them to further develop professional skills and relationships. We offer a
number of workshops which can either be used to explore survey results or
which concentrate on other areas helpful to working in general practice.
