Telephone Consultation Questionnaire (TCQ)
The TCQ evaluates health professional's telephone skills during triage and measures the degree
of reassurance and understanding promoted by the experience.
TCQ is available for GPs and nurses / nurse practitioners
- Participating health professionals receive a comprehensive survey pack containing 40 questionnaires.
- Patients who have had a telephone consultation with a doctor or nurse (i.e. the telephone equivalent of
a face-to-face appointment interaction).
- Patients are randomly selected and sent a questionnaire.
- When all 40 questionnaires are sent, a confirmation of distribution form is returned to CFEP.
- Completed questionnaires are returned to CFEP in the freepost envelope supplied. 24 returns are expected per health professional.
Within 6 weeks of all questionnaires being sent out by the practice, CFEP will send a confidential report to the doctor/nurse with the results of their patient feedback. Included within will be advice on how to interpret and act on the results included.
